Perfectly matching our toasters merido5, ritterwerk now presents the first kettle in its more than 100 years of history.
The cavita5 kettle also tops its class in functional details and was awarded for its outstanding design. It has won the renowned red dot product design award 2013. This award is a seal of quality recognized worldwide for outstanding design. Instead of recycling old designs in retro, the user-friendliness does define the looks. Hence, also the kettle does bear the same Bauhaus elements typical of ritter products. Reduction to the essential. Long-lasting materials. Production on site.
The cordless kettle with 360° rotating base does have a heat-resistant high-quality acrylic housing. The double-sided indicator allows to easily read the water level. LED indicators show the set temperatures of 70°, 80°, 95° and 100° C. All safety requirements are fulfilled by overheating protection, boil-dry protection and automatic switch-off functions.

- The kettle is to be used for domestic purposes only and must not be used commercially.
- This appliance may also be used by children over 8 years of age, by persons with limited physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities or lacking in relevant experience or knowledge, provided that they do so under supervision or have been instructed in safe use of the appliance and understand the potential risks associated with its use.
- Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
- Children must not be permitted to clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance unsupervised.
- Only start to use the kettle after it has been securely set up.
- Never leave the kettle unattended while it is operating.
- Stop using the appliance immediately if any parts are damaged and contact the ritter after-sales service.
- The kettle must not be operated using a timer or telecontrol system.
- Only connect the kettle to a power supply that conforms to the specifications on the type label.
- Always remove the power plug from the socket in the event of a malfunction, before cleaning and when the kettle is not in use. When doing so, pull on the plug and not on the cable.
- Never immerse the base in water. Never leave the base out in the rain or subject it to any other form of moisture. If the base should fall into water, pull the plug out of the mains socket first and then remove the appliance from the water. Have the base inspected at an authorized service centre before using it again.
- Always ensure that your hands are completely dry before touching the base. Do not use the kettle if the base is wet or damp or while you are standing on a damp surface. Do not use the kettle outdoors.
- Dry off any overflow or condensate immediately. Always unplug the appliance from the mains before doing so.
- Do not fill the water jug when it is sitting on the base, as water spillages may cause an electric shock.
- Only use the kettle if there is no visible damage to the power cord, base and water jug. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service or a similarly qualified person to eliminate risk of personal injury.
- You should never place any metal objects in the base.
- Only use the kettle with the base that has been designed for it (type fontana5 / cavita5).
- When the kettle is heating water, the outer surface of the water jug may get very hot. Always hold the kettle by the handle.
- Never open the lid of the water jug while the kettle is in the process of heating water, as hot water may splash out. Hot and boiling water and the resulting steam can cause severe burns.
- Never fill the water jug to above the maximum fill level, as this may cause boiling water to spill out.
- Always allow the kettle to cool down before cleaning.
